Why am I periodically forced to change my password in CWI?
Your passwords will expire 60 days after you have changed them. At that time, you will be required to change your password before you can access any of the functions available in CWI. The system forces a password change for security reasons.
There used to be new files available for download on the morning of the 1st and 16th of every month. I checked the morning of the 1st and there were no new files available for download. Did something change?
The files that were normally available for download the morning of the 1st and the 16th of every month will now be available the morning of the 2nd and 17th of every month. The process which creates the files has been rescheduled to avoid a conflict with another system. The files will remain in the same format and contain the same information as previous files.
What is the difference between the RPT files and the TAG files in my directory?
The RPT files are the LTC data in a text format. The TAG files contain the same information as the RPT files but are in a format used by computer programs to process the LTC data. These processing programs are developed by the muncipalities, not Alberta Registries.
Why are there no page breaks in the RPT files?
RPT files generated on and after December 1, 2000 have page breaks inserted after each title change. In order for the page breaks to be visible, the document must be opened in a word processessor such as Microsoft Word or another word processor. If the file is opened in Notepad or Wordpad, the page breaks will NOT occur after each title.
